treadmill
willfrom_az asked:

I’ve looked all over, but i cant find the record for the longest time spent continuously on a treadmill. My friends and I are doing a fund raiser where the sponsers can eather donate per mile we complete, or hours, and we would like to know what the records are. I doubt any of us will set records, however it is always nice to have a goal, and in case we indeed do beat a record it would be nice to know. All funds in which we collect will be given to the Kansas Red Cross

The record for the greatest distance travelled on a treadmill in 24 hours is 153.76 miles (247.45 km) and was set by Christopher Bergland (USA) at Kiehl’s, New York City, USA on 29–30 April 2004.

The greatest distance travelled on a treadmill in 24 hours by a woman is 247.2 km (153.6 miles) by Edit Berces (Hungary) at the Eurocentre Shopping Mall, Budapest, Hungary on 8-9 March 2004.

The record for the greatest distance run by a team of twelve on a treadmill in 48 hours is 509.7 km (316.7 miles) in Amsterdam, Netherlands from 24 to 26 September 2004.

Didn’t see anything for any greater time than that. Maybe you can set one. Sound like a worthy cause.

this link gives the records for treadmills, however they are all for distance, not time on machine.

It appears that records list by guiness concern distanse covered in periods, rather than duration.
