How to use treadmill in first floor of apartment without disturbing people(vibration) living upstairs?
Hi,
I live in Texas in a 4 floor aparment. My apartment is above a garage and I have 2 more floors on top. I work with a treadmill everyday for 60 minutes. Recently I have received complaints from upstairs(!) that they are bring disturbed by a thumping noise and or vibrations ! Not motor sound. I was hoping that I will have full freedom since I had no one living below me. I don’t know what to do? Is there anyway I can stop my treadmill from causing this problem.
I would call a store that specializes in fitness equipment if you don’t get any answers that solve this problem. I would try using a thick rubber mat (which you can get at a fitness supply store) under the treadmill to see if it absorbs the vibration. Good luck and good for you for trying to solve this and not using it as an excuse to not exercise!
