It depends on what you eat in the other 23 and 1/2 hours.

  3. themeindzeye on April 3rd, 2009 10:36 pm

It is if you combine it with eating properly.

Depends – are you eating donuts while you run? You can lose weight without speical exercise if you eat less than you burn.

If you are going to run every day then your body will get used to it and you won’t keep losing weight. So, what I would recommend is running intervals on the treadmill. You run at a comfortable pace and then pick it up for a minute or so. Try searching about it online and you will find a lot of articles about the benefits of running intervals for weight loss. Good luck!

yes, also make sure you change it up. Like do sprints where you up the speed for 30/60 seconds and then slow it down to a slow run for 60/120 seconds. Also add some hills. This will strengthen and tone and build muscles. Also change your eating habits to eat smaller meals more frequently. Eat healthier, less fast food and lots of fruit veggies water and lean meats. Cut down on carbs. Do that and you should be good

I’m sure it will be better than doing nothing. Try to add an exercise that will benefit your abs too, like crunches.

Losing weight is a balanced approach.. exercise, and eating right.. you could run all you want on a treadmill but if breakfast for you is a box of krispy kremes, youre wasting your time..

30 minutes is a good start, dont forget to weight train too.. light weights and lots of reps for toning, heavier weights and less reps if you want more muscle mass..

eat a balanced diet, low carbs lots of protien, and lots of water.. then your exercise will mean more to your waistline

Yes, 30 minutes on a treadmill every day is good. If you don’t eat extra you should lose weight. Also, try lifting weights, water bottles, big cans of juice, anything you have around the house for an additional 30 minutes. There are also crunches, sit ups, push ups, etc. Good luck.

Um, you will be burning calories, but weight loss depends on more than just exercise. What is your calorie intake? If you run on the treadmill and eat like there is no tomorrow, chances are you will not lose weight. On the other hand, if you run on the treadmill and eat a sensible diet, you will more than likely lose weight. You do not needs lots of fancy equipment to lose weight, you just need diet and exercise. GOOD LUCK!!

Yeah if you also lower your calorie intake as well.

it will help burn fat. The body usually starts to burn fat once you reach the target heart rate after about 20 minutes. 30 minutes will burn more fat. If you mix this with a good diet you should lose some weight.

  16. Ree_x on May 3rd, 2009 9:13 am

yes and no. If you eat a healthy diet as well then it is possible but exercise on its own will not be sufficeient to loose weight if your eating a normal diet also.

dieting and exercise is the answer. don’t exercise, then go eat a greasy cheeseburger and fries. count your calories, and you should exercise a different body part everyother day, like do the treadmill one day then do sit ups and stomach exercises, cardio, legs, arms, shoulders, then you’ll loose fat and gain muscle.

Your treadmill is a great exercise machine for cardio and for toning your lower body. Diet is also very important; What you eat makes the difference on whether you lose or gain.
You have to set goals on what you want to achieve for your body. Here is a website I refer to for what I eat and what exercise to do for my body shape and size. Hope it helps you too.

The Treadmill is great for the Cardiovascular and yes you can lose weight if you combine the exercise with good choices of food. Avoid the buns breads and desserts. Avoid the soda’s with their high sugar content. Try to have more whole grains and fruit and veggies. It is not always easy to do this but when you see the results you will be encouraged. Give it a shot you’ll be glad you did, good trampin!

No. Exercising by itself will not cause weight loss. What happens is muscle weights more than fat. As you gain muscle you will lose fat, the body metabolizes it to enable you to exercise. Running on a treadmill will provide you with cardio-vascular exercise. That is your breathing and circulation system. This will give you many positive benefits, but you also need to look at diet and strength building exercises.
