treadmill
dk2 asked:

I want to buy a new treadmill and would like some input as to the best one for my money. Not a gym quality, industrial strength piece of equipment but a “good buy” that will last. Any suggestions?

95% of the people I know that have treadmills have them sit there. They are rarely used. Save yourself some money and go for a jog outside. IT will save you money in a rough time in the economy these days. Be smart. A simple 30 minute jog outside will help a ton.

Secondhand sports and exercise equipment stores such as Play It Again Sports or 2nd Wind are an excellent source of inexpensive machines. Since their inventory fluctuates daily, it would be a good idea to call the location before visiting to ask whether they are currently carrying any treadmills.

I know Pro-Form treadmills are pretty good and decent priced. My father bought a pro-form from Sears about 5 yrs ago for about 600 bucks and it is still running like new with the fan, monitors and all of that. They also have pretty decent weight capacities then the cheaper machines if you are on the slightly heavier side like my dad.

buy the nordic track they are selling at costco. It’s a really nice machine, would cost at least twice that at sears for similiar features and quality. Plus they have a great return policy.
