I have an old treadmill that finally died. Before I buy a new one, what’s the best way to get rid of the old one that’s big and heavy? It’s too big to fit in the trash bin and I don’t have a truck to haul it away?
I live in a condo community that does not allow members to leave junk in the front of the houses. Also if disassembled, some of the pieces would be pretty big.

Thanks.

I am using a treadmill for training for long distance runs. How accurate is the speed per mile and distance as shown on the treadmill. Does your stride affect the actual distance or speed you are going? I use high quality treadmills at the gym but my Nike Plus sensor shows a much slower pace for me and therefore less distance traveled. Appreciate any comments from runners or those very knowledgeble with treadmills.

Everytime, I start running on the treadmill after not running for awhile, I get this horrible stinging in my legs that itches and burns. Today, I actually had to get off the treadmill. I am assuming it is a circulation issue. Does anyone ever experience this? I asked my doc about it and he said not to worry.

I’m 5′1 and 168 lbs. I’m trying to lose weight so I recently started working out on a treadmill (I can’t afford a gym at the moment). I walk 4 miles at 2.8-3.2 mph every day. I know it’s not much but I try to increase my speeds every day. I’ve been burning about 539-553 calories per session. Should it be more, should it be less? Any treadmill workout tips?

P.S. I’m also dieting and taking a weight loss supplement.

I’ve been trying to find a FAST treadmill, and the ones I’ve been searching through get very expensive but seem to top out at 12mph. They come with all kinds of gadgets and programs that I don’t care for. I just need something faster, doesn’t any company make a treadmill for sprinting? I’m hoping for one that can push around 20mph. Do they even exist? This is 2007 for Pete’s sake.
