Work Out Treadmills
Filed Under Treadmills | Comments Off

How long do you work out on your treadmill each day?
I’m just curious how long most people work out in order to see weight loss results or a more toned body. I have been working out about 40 minutes every morning and I don’t see any great changes yet, but I sleep better and have more energy during the day.
I’ve been working out for almost 7 weeks now.
no treadmill here… I have an exercise bike, I get 30-45 mins a day… I have more energy and sleep a bit better and I just feel better all around, I changed my diet and drink more water, so we’ll see in a few weeks how much I lose

Treadmill Schwinn

Which of these machines would work best?
Ok, I need to get off my fat ass, but I also need to read Plato’s Republic. So I’m going to go to the gym and use the machines while reading. Doable?
Which would burn the most, but let me read ok
Treadmill
Stairclimber
Ellipticals
Concept II rowing ergometers
Schwinn spinning bike
Lifecycle
Tredmill is good for the best for endurance. It works your calves, gluts, and quads. However it’s hard on your knees.
Stairclimber won’t increase your heart rate as much but is great for your butt and legs.
Ellipticals are good for raising your heart rate while burning calories without overexerting yourself. Better for your knees than tredmills..
Rowing ergometers are better if you’re actually training for rowing. It works basically every part of your body, but your back will start to hurt after a little while, and it gets boring.
Spinning bikes don’t burn as much calories as running. They are great for toning legs, but they only work your legs as opposed to the rowing machines and ellipticals, which also work the top half.
I have no idea what a lifecycle is lol
Like dgreenblob said, your best bet is to do interval training, which is basically changing resistance every so often. Most machines will have that option so that you don’t have to do it yourself.
You should be getting at least 30 minutes of cardio. However, this doesn’t mean it has to be the same machine all the time. You can either do one machine one day then another the next and another the next, or space them out, such as one machine for 15 minutes, another machine for 15 minutes. Studies have shown the more you switch it up, the more results you’re likely to get.
